Emily focuses her practice on assisting in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and in drafting opinions on the patentability of inventions, primarily in the mechanical arts. Emily also advises and renders opinions on freedom to operate, infringement and validity matters.  In addition, she drafts opinions regarding infringement and validity and conducts research on a wide range of patent and trademark issues.

During law school, Emily served as the Vice President of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association at the University of Akron School of Law. She is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Akron Bar Association.
