The Role
The Law Clerk will be an integral member of our team and provide essential support to our clients by assisting attorneys with patent and trademark matters and performing a range of legal tasks. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual with ability to learn various technologies, collaborate with an attorney team, and preparation and prosecution of matters for filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and prosecution of patent applications

• Conducting patentability searching and analysis

• Prosecution of trademark applications

• Legal research and drafting reports

Qualifications

• Law student with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; equivalent degrees will be considered and advanced degrees are a plus

• Technical industry work experience is highly valued

• Patent agent or desire to take the U.S. Patent Bar examination

• Excellent organizational and follow up skills

• The ability to work independently

• Must possess strong attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
